Sadie Sink Teases Her Mystery Marvel Role

The cast of Spider-Man Noir continues to grow. Jenna Ortega teases some wild moments in Wednesday season 2. Plus, there’s already good news for Amazon’s God of War adaptation. To me, my spoilers!

Spider-Man 4

Appearing as a guest on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Sadie Sink stated it was “news to her” she’s rumored to have been cast as Jean Grey in Spider-Man 4, before vaguely discussing her role in the MCU as being “the very early stages of something,” and “different than what I’ve tried before.”

I think what’s interesting to me is kind of like building something from the ground up, whether that’s like a series or a movie… I think that’s interesting to me, starting at the very early stages of something. But I’m very story character driven. And love working with new filmmakers, but as long as it’s a story that I love. And yeah, a character that I resonate with or a character that’s different than what I’ve tried before. I think that’s the way to go.

Wednesday

During a recent interview with Collider, Jenna Ortega revealed the second season of Wednesday includes a slasher movie-inspired episode, and a scene in which Pugsley rolls his eyes back “with this contraption around his head.”

Visually, I can say we have some of the most fun we’ve ever had. It’s crazy to talk about one frame like this, but there is a frame of Pugsley rolling his eyes back with this contraption around his head—that’s all I can say— and it reminds me so much of Full Metal Jacket. It’s insane. So bizarre.

I just feel like there are a lot of scenes and frames, and there’s a whole episode based off of slashers, and we make a lot of horror references. So, everything about it, I feel like we kind of had a little bit more trust, and therefore, we felt like we could do bigger, more elaborate sequences, which is nice.

God of War

Speaking on Katee Sackhoff’s Sackhoff Show podcast, Ronald D. Moore confirmed Amazon has already picked up the video game adaptation for two seasons.

Right now I’m working on an adaptation of a video game called God of War. It’s a big title in the gaming world that Amazon has ordered two seasons of. They’ve asked me to come in and I’m literally in the writers’ room working on that.
