It’s Black Friday sales season, which means the Australian TechRadar team has been working around the clock to uncover the best local discounts on everything from stick vacuums and iPhones to Sony headphones – and in all honesty I’m beat, and looking forward to a relaxing weekend of rest and recuperation. It’s somewhat serendipitous, then, that Aussie streaming service Binge’s has just started its Black Friday sale with an offer that fits right in with my plans.

The new show’s cast was one of the big reasons it was one of the streaming additions I was most looking forward to it in November, with stars including Sarah Snook (Succession), Jake Lacy (The White Lotus), Dakota Fanning (Ripley), Sophia Lillis (IT), Michael Peña (Ant-Man) and Abby Elliot (The Bear).

I’m currently only two episodes deep, but I can confirm it’s one of those shows that immediately sucks you in, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

It opens with Marissa Irvine (Snook) going to pick up her son Milo from a playdate with Jenny’s (Fanning) son. But the person who opens the door has no idea who she or Milo is, and it soon becomes clear that whoever she set up the playdate wasn’t actually Jenny.

In seconds, she and her husband (Lacy) are thrown into every parents’ nightmare… and a gripping whodunit for viewers to enjoy.

The entire six-episode season was released in its entirety on November 7, and it’s well worth the AU$2 discounted price of admission just by itself.

Of course, that’s not the only thing Binge has going for it right now. If you’re looking for an enjoyable Friday or Saturday night movie at home, I’d propose checking out Drop. If you’re a regular movie-goer you likely saw trailers for thrilling whodunnit when it came out to cinemas. In it, a widowed mother receives threatening messages from a mystery person during her first date in years. The messages cause her to question her date, fear her safety, and choose whether to play along or fight back.

Binge also has an impressive library of family content, classic movies, British TV and Christmas classics like Elf and Love Actually. It’s even got superhero flicks like the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies and The Dark Knight trilogy.

In short, it’s incredibly easy to find AU$2 worth of entertainment here, which makes this my favourite Black Friday 2025 deal so far.
