Ice Cube will show up in the new Anaconda remake. Tom Cruise’s elaborate plans to head to space might be grounded for good. John Krasinski is working away on the next Quiet Place. Plus, Disney’s Holes remake is no more. Spoilers now!
Untitled Tom Cruise Space Movie
According to a new report from Page Six, Tom Cruise’s planned space-bound movie has been cancelled, as the project would need both NASA/SpaceX coordination and President Trump’s approval. The outlet suggests Cruise “didn’t want to cross that line.”
Anaconda
Ice Cube confirmed he has a cameo in the upcoming Anaconda remake during a recent interview with People.
It’s cool to do a cameo, to kind of make it go full circle in a way. When they asked me to do it, when I knew the kind of movie they were doing, I jumped at it. I’m like, ‘This is something different. It’s cool.’ People probably get a kick out of me popping on the screen.
Man of Tomorrow
Elsewhere, James Gunn suggested Brainiac isn’t in Man of Tomorrow in a recent Threads post denying Dave Bautista has been cast in the role.
Oh boy. Let’s forget a moment I’ve never said Brainiac was in the movie. I freaking love @davebautista & I have many ideas for who he could play in the DCU. But he & I have never discussed a role in Man of Tomorrow, nor have we discussed it amongst ourselves at DC. In addition, truly, NONE of the names, from the six or seven I’ve seen rumored for a role, have auditioned or been discussed at all.
Alone in the Dark
THR reports Uwe Boll is planning to direct another film adaptation of the video game Alone in the Dark with the possibility of a tie-in TV series as well.

During a recent interview with Deadline, Emily Blunt revealed John Krasinski is now writing a third direct sequel in the A Quiet Place franchise.
John is currently in his monastic writing cell, just dreaming it up. He has barely told me anything, so I’m excited about all of it, really.
