$100 off Apple’s MacBook Air M4
I’ve kept an eye on the early laptop deals at Amazon ahead of Prime Day and they’ve been a massive disappointment so far. Fortunately, things are starting to look up a little now, though, as this offer takes $100 off the incredible MacBook Air M4. Our computing experts think this is the best laptop you can buy right now, as it boasts fantastic performance, amazing all-day battery life, and a slick design.
A word of warning for Prime members, though, I suspect this could get $50 cheaper when the sale actually starts, as that would match the record-low price from earlier in the year.

Never lose your keys again with the Apple AirTag
If you have an iPhone, I highly recommend picking up the Apple AirTag for just $24 (was $29) at Amazon today. It’s a super handy gadget that works great with other Apple devices to locate essential items, such as car keys, wallets, or vacation luggage. At such a low price, it’s a lifesaver if you’re partial to losing such items. Note, you can also get a four-pack for $74.99 (was $99) today if you’re looking for multiple tags.
PSA: Amazon always leads with own-brand deals
I don’t think I can recall a time when Amazon didn’t always follow the same formula with its Prime Day sale. The retailer always posts deals on own-brand Amazon devices ahead of the official Prime Day dates as a kind of ‘warm up’ of sorts – holding back the vast majority of discounts until midnight of the official start date.
Because of this, I generally shop for my Amazon devices early to beat the rush. A lot of people hold out for the big day to see if devices will go any lower, but from my experience with Prime deals, once Amazon posts a Prime-member exclusive price, it generally never goes any lower.
The cheapest Kindle you can buy today
The cheapest Kindle deal on Amazon right now is the excellent Amazon Kindle Kids edition for a record-low price of $94.99 (was $129).
While you may want to hold out for a deal on the standard model, this version is functionally the same but comes with a Kid-friendly cover, a six-month trial for Amazon Kids Plus, and an extended two-year warranty. Regardless of whether you’re a small or big kid, this is a great deal on the baseline Kindle.
Make a note: the Kindle Scribe is at its lowest-ever price
