X-Men legend Chris Claremont teases the potential surprise return of another mutant in Avengers: Doomsday. Jennifer Lawrence dances around questions of her return to Hunger Games for Sunrise on the Reaping. Plus, Rhea Seehorn teases when to expect the return of Pluribus. To me, my spoilers!

Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play

Boots Riley confirmed on Twitter (via World of Reel) his next film will be an adaptation of Anne Washburn’s off-Broadway Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play. The post-apocalyptic dark comedy concerns “a new civilization stumbling into its future, where snippets of pop culture have become the live entertainment of a society sincerely trying to hold onto its past,” and follows “a group of survivors sharing a campfire who begin to piece together the plot of The Simpsons episode ‘Cape Feare’ entirely from memory.”

Man of Tomorrow

Insiders @MyTimetoShineHello and Jeff Sneider on his Hot Mic podcast (via Geek Tyrant) both allege that Wonder Woman will make her DCU debut in Man of Tomorrow,

It’s true they are looking at every young ‘hot’ (as in, upcoming) actress for the new female lead in Man of Tomorrow, but they also need her to be tall, in her 20s, and have fighting skills.

Avengers: Doomsday

Elsewhere, legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont appears to have confirmed Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey does indeed appear in Avengers: Doomsday, after all, during his recent appearance on the Power of X-Men podcast (via Screen Rant).

The thing I find most wonderful about it is they’re bringing back the original cast, including Famke.

Relatedly, Kat Dennings told Entertainment Tonight she’s “not in” Avengers: Doomsday, but has had her body scanned by Marvel and could appear without her knowledge.

I mean, I’m not in it. And I’m telling you right now, I’m not in it. If I were in it, which I’m not, I couldn’t tell you, but I literally am not. I’m sure they already filmed it. I was here, I’m not in it. But they did scan me, so to be honest, they could put me in anything they want at this point. Who knows? I’m in the system!

The Hunger Games: Sunrise On the Reaping

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence dodged questions about her upcoming appearance in The Hunger Games: Sunrise On the Reaping during her recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Maybe we already have. Oh yeah it is out on the internet isn’t it.

Ghost Train

A Youtuber visits a haunted train station to boost her views in the trailer for Ghost Train, coming to digital February 17.

Creature Commandos

Speaking with DC Film News, James Gunn confirmed the second season of Creature Commandos is in production.

When do we get more Creature Commandos? When we’re done animating the new season, which is in production now.

Pluribus

Rhea Seehorn also told DRM News she has “no idea when” the second season of Pluribus will premiere, but promises it will be “as fast as” Vince Gilligan and company can do it.

They are in the writers room. I have no idea when we’re going back. I know [show creator Vince Gilligan] wants us to go as soon as possible. Vince is not playing any kind of game to make people wait for this. But he wants to craft the show with all the care for his fans and the people following this story that he can. So we’ll get back as fast as we can, I promise you that.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

Finally, Tig Notaro’s Jett Reno grills cadet Mir during a lecture in a new clip from Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
